About the Museum

“Keeping alive the memory of sacrifice and the valiant efforts of our military in keeping our nation free.”

Founded in August 1997 and registered as a New Mexico nonprofit, the American Armed Forces Museum was established to collect and preserve military memorabilia, represent all branches of service, and commemorate all wars and engagements in which American armed forces fought.

With a primary focus on education, our historical displays are dedicated to the memory of those who have served — helping visitors understand the service and sacrifice of the American military who willingly give of themselves, their families, and the comforts of home.
